Brianna Wiggins-Smart, Director of Dance is a native of Savannah, Georgia, where she graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School receiving the International Baccalaureate Diploma. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Education from Brenau University. She has formally trained and studied dance for nearly 21 years and has previously taught ballet, jazz, and tap at Alicats Dance and More Studio in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Previously, she worked at DeKalb Elementary School of The Arts as a dance and drama instructional paraprofessional, where she assisted in the Theater and Dance department and choreographed numerous dance works. Mrs. Wiggins-Smart has had the opportunity to dance with Brenau Dance Ensemble during her tenure at Brenau. She performed works from established choreographers such as Jacques Heim of Diavalo, Carol Teitelbaum of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company as well as a host distinguished dance leaders and educators. She is the Director of the Stilwell Dance Repertory Company and the coach of the State Champion Stilwell Dance Team. This is her sixth year at Stilwell and she is excited to be a part of the Stilwell School of the Arts family!
