Biography: Hello!  I currently teach World History and Psychology/Sociology. I have been teaching at Stilwell School of the Arts since it first began in 2014.  Before that, I taught at Mount Zion High School for 12 years--beginning in 2002 after receiving a Masters Degree in Social Science Education from the University of Georgia. In my teaching career, I have received numerous awards--among them the Star Teacher Award in 2007. I also helped write the United States History curriculum for Clayton County and have written assesments for AP US History for the county as well.  I entered teaching as a second career after spending 18 years with FEDEX corporation.  I received an undergraduate degree from Emory University majoring in Philosophy in 1979. This year, I celebrate my 26th wedding anniversary and my wife and I are very proud of our son who recently graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Ga.  He is currently preparing to attend graduate school in Vocal Music Performance and Pedagogy starting in the Fall of 2021 and teaches young music students as well as sings with the Atlanta Symphony Chorus (when they finally get back to performances after the pandemic).
The best way to contact me is through my e-mail address [email protected] and through Google Classroom.  If you or your student have not joined my class pages--send a request to me through  e-mail.
